Day 12 – Your Daily Tasks – Keep Going!
Get Into a Routine!
Probably the toughest part of writing content for your website is getting into a routine so that you know what to do. Luckily, the main thing you’ll be doing is writing content. You really can’t go wrong doing that.
On the last day of the course, I mentioned a schedule like this:
- Sunday Night: Writing article.
- Monday: Adding more content to your article and proof reading it.
- Tuesday: Finish your article with another read-through, add images and add video – then schedule it to publish Wednesday morning or publish it now.
- Wednesday: Promote the article you just wrote (HootSuite) and post comments in forums and Yahoo! Answers.
- Thursday: Promote previous articles you’ve written (HootSuite) and post comments in forums and Yahoo! Answers.
- Friday: Work on guest post.
I like that schedule a lot. It gets us working on a good article every week along with taking 2 days to promote and one day to continue to work on guest post articles so that one of those can be produced every month.
If you follow this, you’ll have 52 great articles on your website in a year along with 12 great guest post articles for a total of 64 articles. You’ll also be spending 52-104 days promoting your content.
You should also spend 10-15 minutes on Twitter everyday. You can read what’s going on, do some retweets, make some comments and do a quick tweet about how your day is going.
Conclusion
That’s really it. Do this and over time, your audience will grow – along with traffic and revenue.
