When I was a kid, I think there were only 2 or 3 area codes for Wisconsin. With the growth of cellular and mobile phones, they need a lot more phone numbers now. Here are the changes:

• Area code 534 will be added to the 715 area code (August 2010).
• Area code 274 will be added to the 920 area code (2012).

If you have a 715 phone number, then you will keep your phone number with no changes at all.

Other Wisconsin area codes are: 262, 414, 608, 715 and 920.
