Lojack Your Laptop for Free

This seems like a good idea: Adeona. It's free. You install it on your computer and it sends out your computer's location information every half hour or so. If your computer gets stolen, then you can use this to track it and find it... you, of course, would want to contact local law enforcement with the information and not do it yourself.

I wish a friend of mine knew about this a few days ago. :-(

Remember to get Carbonite or some kind of backup for your hard drive. I've got all my computers either using Carbonite, local backup or other online backup. You have to prepare for the worst and hope it never happens.

And don't forget about protecting your identity as well... which might be useful if your laptop is stolen: LifeLock is the only Identity Theft Prevention Solution backed by a one-million dollar guarantee! Click here to get a 10% discount.
