Ski Legs

Well, Cascade opened for 2 days. They're calling it "Bonus Days" since they're not open for good yet. There were 2 runs open with 2 lifts. So, not bad. It wasn't super crowded or anything.

So I wiped out on my first run and got that over with. It took a few runs but I did find my skiing again. You lose a lot over the summer. I wasn't the only one. Several other instructors were saying the same thing. We all thought the North Wall run got steeper or something.

I found myself on the Schoolmarm run working on some fine tuning. Todd took me up there and we unbuckled our boots to help us find our true center without the tongue of the boot helping with support. We must have done 4-5 runs that way. We then went to the Wall again and I wiped out. Duh. After that it was good though. It got crowded on the Wall at times with snowboarders everywhere, so it was hard to do what you wanted.

Anyway, I also helped a little with instructing the new instructors too. I slept well both Saturday and Sunday nights but it was fun and worth it.
