How to Wax Skis

Well, ski and snowboard season starts this month, so it's time to dig those skis out, see how dry they are and get them tuned up.

Until, I've had my skis tuned maybe twice a season and just did some paste wax in between tunings. I just bought a Swix waxing iron and now even have a room set up to do work on my skis. Here are some helpful videos I found on how to wax skis - you can see them below. Some of the tools you will need are:

  • Waxing iron (no holes on the iron surface)
  • Wax (use the appropriate wax for the temps you'll be skiing in)
  • Scraper
  • Brush / Buffer
  • Edge Filer
  • Towel and Cleaning Solution
  • Clamps / Vices

On to the videos:

2. Learn to Wax Skis

Have fun! Ski ya!
