Over the weekend, I picked up a pair of Head Cyber X15 skis with bindings from a buy on Craig's List. They're older (maybe 5 years old or more from what I can find out) but they are brand new, never used. They're 170s, which is good for me since I'm 5' 11". The other skis I have are 160 and 163. Shorter skis are good for teaching lessons but longer skis are more fun and go faster. So it seems that the place to get good deals on skis may be on places like Craig's List or eBay. It's the middle of summer right now but winter will come. It'll be fall soon and people will be thinking of skiing more and prices will be going steadily up. Right now there are garage sales and these online garage sales where people are just looking to make a few bucks. The guy I bought these from (skis, binding, boots and poles - all brand new) was moving to Hong Kong so he said he didn't need them. Apparently, he didn't need them the last 4-5 winters either. :-) -T
