This last weekend, I watched part of the movie Air Force One. Not Harrison Ford's best work, but still a good movie. This got me thinking though about the Presidency and other movies made that show the President fighting. Another one that comes to mind is Independence Day where the President goes up in a fighter jet.
I don't think John McCain is the best choice and yeah he's getting up there in years but he has been in the military. He's the only candidate out there who could get into a fighter jet and fight. You can't see Hillary Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama getting into a jet and walking the talk. No, this doesn't mean that anyone who has been in the military is qualified to be President, but we're the "Super Power" out there now. Even when we're not under attack, we're under attack. The Democrats want everyone to love the US and make sure that everyone speaks good of the US. Well, that won't work and we don't want that. If we do that, we'll become weak and lose what we have. They don't get it - at all. We'll always have enemies - that's life. Don't spend energy trying to change something that can't be changed. There are evil leaders out there. They won't change and if we try to make them like us, then we need to change our whole set of values. Anyway, this election is important. We need a tough leader that has a global perspective and is tough - not weak or not someone who wants us to be liked. Ever read about President Andrew Jackson ("Old Hickory")? He was one tough dude. He'd beat people with his hickory cane constantly and look for fights. No, we're not looking for that extreme of a person but being on the total opposite side kind of scares me. -T
