Go Palin and Jindal!
Written by Tony
Thursday, 13 November 2008

We've now got about 2-3 years go rebuild on real Conservative values. I think with all the "change" Obama will bring and how radically left he's going to be, winning in 2012 will be a snap!

Gov. Jindal: Republicans Must Stick With Values

Fiscal conservatism. Strong national defense. Family values.

Those are the principles that made the Republicans a majority governing party. And not sticking with them was a big reason behind the large-scale defeat Republicans suffered on Election Day.

...

"'Drill Baby Drill' by itself is not an energy policy," Pawlenty said.

...

"Voters are looking for solutions and bold actions. They're looking for intensity. They need to see passion," said Frank Luntz, a leading Republican pollster and one of the thinkers behind the Contract with America during the 1990s.

...

Jindal said Republicans will continue to lose if they merely try to obstruct every proposal Democrats make on key issues like health care. But they should not waver from bedrock principles of low taxes and family values.

"We cannot win debates. We cannot fulfill our role by being cheaper versions of the Democratic Party," Jindal said.

Right on!

Why is the Government Bailing Everything Out?
Written by Tony

The Government is not a bank. It's not an auto maker. It's not a real estate company. It's the Government. It's supposed to protect us from enemies. Read the Constitution, Nancy Pelosi.

Get out of the private sector, let business run and we'll get through this faster. The more it's tinkered with, the longer it'll take. And get this... the faster it gets over, the more you can blame it on Bush - even though it's not all his fault.

Is the Government going to bail out Circuit City now that they filed for Bankruptcy? What if my business doesn't do well, then where's my bailout? Maybe I'll start a new business and have it fail just to get in on some bailouts.

And don't you dare touch people's 401k accounts. That is THEIR money. It's not taxes.

These next 4 years are going to be rough. The American people know it. Once the shine comes off Obama, maybe others will realize it, too. A lot of us already know (especially business owners) and we're getting ready for the Obama storm.

And People Thought the Media Wasn't Biased Toward the Left

No, the media's not biased... pfff! They're finally coming clean. I've seen a number of stories lately about this and now comedy writers seem to be having trouble now that Obama is in:

Liberal Comics Fearing Obama Administration

You can bet that Tina Fey and maybe other writers were pulling for McCain / Palin.

I think one thing is true... there will be less conflict with Obama in office because Conservatives can take a loss MUCH better than liberals who have to whine and complain the whole time. All the jokes, news stories, bumper stickers against Bush. You won't even see a tenth of that kind of thing from Conservatives out there while Obama is in office. We can take a loss and can take the hits better than wimpy Liberals, so call that "unity" if you want but that's not what it is. We're just not whining.

New Political Blog About Obama
Written by Tony
Monday, 10 November 2008

Well, to help myself get through these next 4 years, I've created another blog (Wordpress) about Obama called ConfusingObama.com.

It's called that since I have a feeling that what Obama's actually going to do will have nothing to do with all the promises and things he said in his long, two year campaign for the office. That's confusing and I also think he'll do a lot of strange things that will just confuse me and hopefully other people. I'll get to chronicle a President's entire term in office in blog format - with a critical eye, of course, since I did not vote for the dude.
