Crap, We're Screwed

It seems all the democratic candidates think that they can talk with countries that harbor terrorists, be diplomatic and just straighten things out. Ok, even if they do that, the terrorist groups are not interested in listening. They have a fervent hatred of America. This will do no good.

Obama wants to have "change" and make the world like us. Um, hello? We don't want all of the world to like us. First of all, it's not possible to be friends with everyone and if we were to even try it, we'd have to disown Israel, right? Yeah, that's not a good idea. I believe we're still under God's blessing by supporting His people. Let's not mess with God, ok?

Just to shut Obama up, I kind of now want him to win because he won't be able to do anything good and he'll screw everything up and be out in four years or less. He's promising to get us out of Iraq and then things will be safer. Right. Let's keep that in mind and come back to this exact blog entry in a year and see where we're at.

Obama says that Bush isn't about winning the war, he's about staying. WHAT? So running away from it is winning? What a LOSER! Holy crap. This guy doesn't know how to win something. I'm watching Obama right now on CNN talking in North Carolina. That's what he just said. Yikes. So how you win a war in Obama's view is by running away. Yeah, that's supporting the troops. That's honoring the troops that have died. You want them to have died for nothing? Just let them finish it and win, dude.

Again, it sucks but I don't think we'll know how good we really have it right now until this guy gets elected and either messes it all up or goes against everything that he's saying now.

Mortgage Crisis a Myth
Written by Tony
Thursday, 15 May 2008

It seems that this big, alarm sounding 'mortgage crisis' may be a drummed up myth. It's being reported in the L.A. Times and other places that these may have just been investors trying to "flip" or "turn" a house as an investment who are baling out. Rather than deal with their loss, they just walk away from it and go into foreclosure.

Check out "In mortgage market, ‘walkaway’ homeowners may be urban myth" which says:

"Fitch has also found a high level of misrepresentation in loan applications "by borrowers, brokers, and other parties." When Fitch analysts subjected 45 sub-prime loans to detailed examination late last year, they found "the appearance of fraud or misrepresentation in almost every file," a situation they termed "disconcerting at best" in a report in November.

Some 66% involved "occupancy fraud" -- that is, the borrower misrepresented his or her intention to live in the home, rather than to buy it as an investment."

So this whole thing might just be the liberal media just creating a scare in time for the elections. In time for some 'savior' to come and rescue this poor, delapidating country that mean Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney tore apart. I want to cry... waaaaa!

It's just sad that the media is taken as always reporting the truth and people just eat it up. Even as I'm in another country right now (India), I get introduced as an American and people instantly jump on me about Bush. Stuff like, "Bush is blaming India for the high gas prices!" Um no, that's not what he said. That's how the BBC or CNN framed (sound bited) what he said to make it sound that way. He meant that fuel is a global commodity in a global economy and places with emerging consumers of fuel like India and China are causing demand to go up, which raises the price for everyone.

No fuel companies aren't to blame. President Bush isn't to blame either. A world where the President of a country controls everything is a Monarchy (I learned that in 5th grade). And when a government controls everything, that's Socialism. Remember Russia? We live in a Democracy with a capitalistic, free market system. The world even operates on this free market system. The demand for something drives up the price. That's Economics 101, people.

Barack Obama isn't going to come in and set fuel prices and make everything better as our 'saviour' because he can't. Please don't believe that and please don't vote in the election based on thinking like that. He has proven again and again to know nothing about economics.

Max HeadroomSo again, be careful what you hear in the news about anything - especially economics. The media seems to be controlling the masses out there. They're so big that they seem to have that power. Don't be hypnotized by them. Do your own research and find out for yourself. I run into so many people that just think the wrong thing about stuff. They act kinda like parrots when they just repeat back what they heard on TV thinking that it's true. That's pretty scary to me. I'm reminded of the movie and TV show, Max Headroom. Remember him? Media controlled everything in that futuristic world. Maybe that was prophetic.

Waa Waa Waa!

It seems like the Democratic debate last night didn't go very well. Obama got asked "tough" questions that he wasn't ready for from the media. It sounds like he doesn't understand economics when he was asked why he'd raise the Capital Gains tax when it has consistenly shown thorough history that there's more revenue received when that tax is lower - like when President Clinton did it. Oh, it's not about money, is it? Yeah, that's true. It's about you wanting more government control just for the fun of it. Elitist.

I kind of like Presidents who see the press/media as more of a nusanace than something to kiss up to. I mean, as the President you have to talk with other world leaders and important people all the time - then here comes the press... pff! Whatever. That's child's play. I kind of get that vibe from President Bush. Yeah, he's probably the guy with the worst communication skills but when he's up against the press, you can tell that he's just kind of laughing inside.

So if Obama can't even handle talking to the press in a simple debate format, there's no way he should be put in charge of everything else. That's just ludicrous. He won't be able to have speech writers craft those wonderful speeches when he's on the hot seat. There'll be no telepromter then. How will he handle it? Last night was a preview, apparently.

I think this is the most important election of my lifetime. Never before have things been so critical. I do remember the Cold War (there were no "bring home the troops" signs for that one but it was still a war). I was nervous. The news liked to talk about how Russia had their finger on the red button to send nuclear bombs our way. That was scary.

Right now, I feel safe. I'm willing to bet that our government and military have thwarted many attempted terrorist attacks against the U.S. They're just not going to say anything about it now so as not to put everyone in panic mode, but I'm sure there have been up to a dozen attempts so far. Sure, the terrorists got us off guard once - but they'll have to try harder than that the next time.

If control of the military with the President as Commander in Chief goes to some idiot who can't say a word without someone writing it for him, then I will be scared. I'd rather have Hillary. Look who Obama hangs out with... his wife doesn't like our country (has never been proud of it - tell that to any family out there who have had loved ones in the military), his pastor is a nut job (very extremist) and then there's this Bill Ayers guy who hosted an event for Obama and wants more Americans to be killed in terrorist acts. What the heck? Where's your American flag lapel, Obama? You'd think that if you had half a brain, you'd want to appear more patriotic if you're running for President. You'd also want to steer yourself clear and not be friendly with anyone wanting to harm innocent Americans in terrorist acts.

Yeah, let's make sure this guy doesn't make it into office. I'd be scared more than the Cold War days for sure.

Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?
Written by Tony

No, Hilary... it's not because God and Jesus asks so much from us and that we need to answer the call.

The answer is, we live in a fallen world. This isn't how God intended things to be. Sin entered in and messed things up. The way it's supposed to be is coming soon when this is over. If you want to get on that bus, accept that Jesus died for your sins and live for Him. You'll have a better outlook on things, too, since you know
