Obama on Aborted Babies Born Alive
Written by Tony

The facts are the facts. It's a small glimpse into the morals of this man... really scary.

And some more:

So either Obama's lying or he doesn't read legislation well enough (which is his job - what people elect him for). Either way, this man cannot be put in charge of Americans' lives.

I know abortion shouldn't be the only issue but, again, it's a glimpse into the make up of this guy. He's been surrounded by some pretty extreme people while growing up and he's considered to be on the outer extreme of his party. (See Obama and ACORN - I'm officially scared and it's not Halloween yet)

President Andrew Jackson and 911
Written by Tony

911 World Trade Center AirplaneI just posted a comment on someone's blog today who was upset that some 911 footage was shown at the RNC. This just shocked me that people think seeing a plane go into the WTC is now offensive. THAT is offensive to me - and to all the families who lost innocent loved ones.

It has been 7 years now and we've not had another attack. Who would have thought that would happen on September 12th? For sure, not me. Things changed that day. We realized that we're not as safe as we thought we were. Shows like "24", though really great to watch, kind of turn terrorism into entertainment and maybe that's making us numb to terrorism. Since we haven't had an attack again (although I'm sure dozens and dozens have been thwarted by own own military forces and special ops) maybe that's also making us feel too safe again - to the point where we've forgotten about 911.

I haven't forgotten 911. I even remember growing up in the 1980s as a kid where 2 world powers seemed to constantly have their fingers on the buttons to launch nuclear arms at one another. That was scary. When there'd be a special report on TV, my heart would just always sink in fear. Yeah, it was pretty scary to me as a kid. Thank God the Cold War is over but now having an enemy that plays by different rules is even worse.

If Obama would get elected, I just wonder that when he shows up for day 1 and gets briefed on what's really happening, he'd be told how things really are and what we possibly can and cannot really do. Anyway, that's just a thought I've had - oops, wait... Obama did just get a bit of this information and without a background check (what?).

Get to the point, Tone.

Ok.

Old Hickory
I'm reminded of President Andrew Jackson. Now, I didn't study him in school or anything and I'm not a huge history buff but I'm fascinated by how things were in the United States when he was President. Early American history has always been my favorite time period to study if I was forced to study history. I believe that any well rounded politician needs to have a commanding grasp of history or else they're bound to unnecessarily repeat mistakes.

So President Jackson (who appears on the $20 bill) was one tough dude. He was nicknamed "Old Hickory" because he carried around a hickory cane and would pick fights with and beat up random people. Seriously. Can you imagine anyone getting away with that nowadays? It makes some candidates out there look a little like wusses, too.

Great Speech, Fred Thompson!

Wow, it's nice to be reminded that other people out there get it. There are true Americans that not only want the country to be better but stand on solid values and common sense.

I love Fred's comment about taxes... that the other party says that I won't get taxed - just businesses. Well, if you buy clothes, food or gas from a business or get a paycheck from a business, then you ARE affected - in a big way. And you can't tax just the other half of the bucket of water.

Republicans speak truth. They don't preach ignorance to the ignorant making it sound like candy when it's poison. There's no deception. Sure, it's twisted into something bad from what you hear in the media, but dig deeper and you will find what's true.

And now Lieberman's getting up there. Wow, it's hard to believe that this guy ran with Al Gore.

The true message is that with Americans is where change happens - not the Government. The party that helps Americans, keeps money in their pockets - where change can really happen is the Republican Party. Democrats want to take your money and spend it how they see fit. Since when has the Government spend money wisely? Why on earth would we want that? It's so easy to just spend, spend, spend when it's not your money and that's what happens.

Obama says that he wants to clean up Washington. Well... he is Washington. He's there. What has he done? History is a predictor of the future, right? Ask any historian or insurance agent. The Democratic Congress is the worst in the history of the United States and they have the lower approval rating as well. And the economy has only been bad the last two years - and if you really look, you'll see it's not that bad, actually. The media makes it sound very bad, but that's another blog post. So if Obama, a freshman Senator, in the worst Congress ever says that he can bring change, then how come he hasn't been able to do anything so far?

I like the theme "Country First." It shows the whole spirit of the party and is so simple. It's Americans that make the country work - I know, I keep saying that but it's true. There are so many high tech companies out there that have made life better - not just for America but for the world. Wait, did I say the Government did that? No companies have done it. People working have done it. We need a leader that gets that, that understands how it works, that is actually proud of the United States and will weat a flag pin even...

I go back to an earlier blog post of mine, I believe, where I say that we should think back to 9-11-01. Do you think a guy who wouldn't weat a flag pin, whose wife wouldn't be proud of our country at that time, a guy who hangs out with the people responsible for terrorist acts, and (sorry) but a guy named Barack Hussein Obama would even win a single primary election? I remember that time. I remember the state our country was in and I think a person like that does not get to be President, sorry. You don't match the American people, Obama.

Obama Who?
Written by Tony

Nice job, John McCain! You just give the Democrats a 1-2 punch with your VP pick of Sarah Palin. We like it. You're a master chess player and you've almost got Obama in check mate. He's in a corner with no pieces left. It's sometimes advantageous making your move last instead of first.

Obama gives a "monumental" speech last night and nobody cares now. Awww!
