Movies on Netflix
Watchmen Movie

Ok, so I got the Watchmen movie on Netflix. I got through half of it and then had to watch the second half later. So I have one question:

What the heck?

No, I'm not a fan of the comic book, so right off I know that I don't know what's going on. But it's 1985 where I think Nixon is President, styles and computers from the year 2009 exist and they're a team but against each other. Dr. Manhattan is a blue naked guy that we see too much of.

The special effects were amazing, I do have to say that. The fight scenes were good, too. They tried to add in a lot of the backstory, which was just a lot of mixed up drama given to us in pieces. Everyone keeps changing their appearance, adding to the confusion.

I'll give it a 2 out of 5 but that's just me.

Seven Pounds (Will Smith)

I really think there should be a tear jerk rating on movies. This one would be very high on that scale but I was a man and held tight. :-)

This is one of those movies that doesn't tell you what's going on until the end but you can kind of figure it out before that. So I won't really talk about what it's about except that it make me think about what Jesus did for all of us, which was way more than just donating a few organs.

So I give this one a 4 out of 5. I really liked it. There should be more movies like this and was surprised I didn't hear too much about this one.

How to Rob a Bank (2007)

A friend of mine suggested this one to me. I liked it a lot. It was weird seeing John Conner (Nick Stahl) in a different role but he was good. The ending was a little bit of a surprise, which I liked. If you're a fan of the Ocean's Eleven series, then you'll like this one.

I give it a 3 out of 5.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Ok, this one surprised me. I thought it was going to be one of those goofy Will Farrel movies. Yes, you do see him in his tidy whities a few times but he seems to get down that far in any movie he's in.

The movie wasn't great or anything but it surprised me. I didn't waste 2 hours of my life watching it, so I'll give it a 3 out of 5.

I don't know, this is one of those movies you hear about or see previews for and think that it won't really be that good. Well, it's good.

I really enjoyed the creatvity used by the characters in the movie. They remake some movies and how they do it is just hilarious. Jack Black is in it and he performs really well - and he's not annoying either.

It seems pretty family friendly, so put it in your Netflix Queue now.
