This is frustrating:

Obama addresses global warming summit

Obama is pledging to make America more energy independent and to also slash carbon emissions by focusing on alternative sources such as wind and solar. He is also vowing to work more cooperatively with other nations on climate change.

"Few challenges facing America -- and the world – are more urgent than combating climate change," he says in the video. "The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking. We’ve seen record drought, spreading famine, and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season. Climate change and our dependence on foreign oil, if left unaddressed, will continue to weaken our economy and threaten our national security."

Leave out the oil thing and his sentence reads as:

Climate change, if left unaddressed, will continue to weaken our economy and threaten our national security.

No. That sentence no longer works - so he's lying. He tried to add in "climate change" to dependence on foreign oil. The two are not related in the way he states it here. He's wrong and he knows it.

Global Warming laws cost us all money. That's the bottom line. Passing more laws based on this Global Warming hoax will hurt the economy. We cannot afford it - no way!

And what's with calling Global Warming "climate change" now? The climate changes from winter to summer. Yes, that's climate change. We can see that, so thanks for pointing that out. It's been happening a long time. The Earth sill goes around the sun on an axis. Using styrofoam cups will not change that. The Earth also goes through cycles - ask those Farmer's Almanac dudes. It's because it's been so cool that the Global Warming theory / hoax doesn't work anymore that they've had to change their tune (again, Democrats seeing how the wind blows to take a stand on something rather than have firm, foundational values on which to stand).

Thinking that anything man can do can affect the entire climate of the Earth is egotistic and inconceivable. Man is pretty small when you think abotu the whole Earth and the atmosphere. What man can do is also very small. The worst we can do is a nuclear bomb and even with that, nature is stronger and will recover. Get over it. Let's stop wasting money on it, ok? Can we just get back to normal, please?

Ok, we'll recycle our garbage - I'm all for that even though it's been found to cost us more in terms of getting these materials recycled (diesel trucks, energy used, etc.) - in exchange for dropping this hoax. Deal?

It seems Al Gore's guy is cheating whenever he can to make this myth more believable:

A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

China's official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its "worst snowstorm ever". In the US, the NOAA registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.

So what explained the anomaly? ... The reason for the freak figures was that scores of temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all. Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.

If there is one scientist more responsible than any other for the alarm over global warming it is Dr Hansen, who set the whole scare in train back in 1988 with his testimony to a US Senate committee chaired by Al Gore. Again and again, Dr Hansen has been to the fore in making extreme claims over the dangers of climate change.

Ok, enough! No more green laws and regulations, please. Let's get back to normal and get on with what we were doing 15 or 20 years ago. Remember that? We came up with the computer and all those great discoveries before we were distracted by stupid hoaxes.

We don't just have to worry about taxes with Barack Obama, but also other kinds of control over business. He's going to make carbon dioxide a pollutant:

So what humans and animals exhale and what plants inhale is going to officially become a pollutant?

Let me get this whole environmentalism thing right:

• We're burning our food supply (corn / ethanol)
• What humans exhale is pollution
• Global warming is now global cooling
• Alo Gore, who invented the Internet (making computers more useful, which take up more power) and has a house that uses more energy than some small towns, is caching in... oh, I mean is propelling this global warming theory.
• We can't drill in Anwar, which is just a hunk of useless land because animals might be affected or something silly.

There would just be even more of this hypocritical environmentalism policy and legislation going through the govenment, which is also a tax on businesses, which get passed down to us. This is based on a theory that carbon dioxide causes global warming (or global cooling - depending on what kind of weather we're having at the moment) even though the ocean is the greatest source of CO2. In reality, the earth is just going through cycles and we're spending our hard earned money on something we have no control over - just slowing down progress and running us dry.

So more of that if Obama is elected President. Yuk.

I've heard that the Farmer's Almanac is calling for 120" of snow this season! It has something to do with less sunspots or something. And I heard that August had the fewest amount of sunspots in recorded history or something like that.

So how does the Farmer's Almanac seem to get things right when they publish it like 100 years in advance? There must be some kind of voodoo going on right? I don't think so. I think that the earth just goes in cycles and that accurate predictions can be made by knowing these cycles - versus declaring something as a brand new phenomenon and blaming man for it. No, man is not powerful or destructive enough to affect these natural, earth cycles.

How can liberals be so organic, so natural and so green and then ignore that the earth runs on cycles? It's contradictory.

Sure, we need to take care of our environment, but global warming has become too extremist, starting to take technology and advancement backwards, costing us all billions of dollars in "fixes" for something that we possibly cannot fix or even affect in the smallest way.

So how come talk about global warming has cooled down? I guess all those people are blogging for Obama right now. Watch the topic pick up again after McCain wins. Even with that, if global warming is that important, then why are they taking a break? It must not be as vital as we're led to believe is my answer to that. Just watch.
