The news is all about this big snowstorm coming tonight. First it was 12" starting at 6pm. Now I've heard 10" starting a 9 or 10pm. Pretty soon it'll be a dusting - no, just kidding. We'll get something significant if they're predicting that much... which is good. I love it.

So it seems like today is a Friday. We already had a Friday meeting reschedule for Monday and it's sunny out. Cities are declaring snow emergencies already, too.

When I was a kid, we didn't do it like that. I remember we used to have to wake up so early to catch the bus to school. It was no wonder we konked out at 9pm. When there was snow, I think I remember mom coming in and telling us there was no school. So, at that point you want to finally sleep in but it was hard because you were so excited about there being no school and tons of snow to play in that you got up - probably easier than if there was school. So there was no sleeping in although you could. There were cartoons to watch, army men to send into battle, Matchbox car ramps to be made and Atari to play. It was going to be a busy day, so why sleep in?

Since tomorrow is a snow day, I think my agenda for the day will vary from when I was 8 but it'll still be fun. I'll work from home and maybe get some Christmas presents wrapped... ok, ok - I guess I'll do a little Playstation. Alright, fine. You twisted my arm!
