It's Stinkin' Cold!

I can't remember a colder December than this. When the high temperature (without the wind chill) is -5, it's cold. You know it's cold when... na! I won't do that list - yet, but I do have one for the list...

I nailed an old comforter over my home office window last night to help keep the cold out. Yeah. And it worked. It's alongside the side of my condo where there's pretty much a wind tunnel going through it. Wow, was it cold yesterday with that wind.

I'm glad there's less wind today - almost none. It's cold but not bone-chilling cold.

Tuesday night is a ski night with some friends. It should be up to 20 at night with 5 or so inches of snow coming down, too.

As far as snow goes, I think we better get used to a few inches of snow falling every few days. I don't know where they're going to put all the snow that's on the street. There's an intersection right by my place that's almost completely built up with snow. I can some accidents happening there for sure - the snow is so high. Ya gotta thank the plow drivers for their work but someone was slacking off when they did our area. Not too smart.

For skiing, the snow is great. I'm loving it. I got to ski in powder last Friday where we had tiny bumps everywhere. They were nice and soft. It was a workout but a fun workout. We don't get conditions like that too often up at Cascade. It's usually all groomed and packed down. My legs are ready for it though, which is nice.

Ski ya!
