Despite the rocky start up, I'm digging Mobile Me (except for the logo, of course - looks too much like Windows ME or something).
I can make a change to my calendar on my iPhone and I start up my Mac Mini at home later that evening and the appointment is in that calendar and I didn't have to do a sync. Amazing! The online storage (iDisk) makes it easy to transfer files between computers (even my PC), which used to be done through email. I also got an Apple Airport Extreme, which helps "Back to My Mac" work from within my network. I'm still trying to get it to connect from when I'm at work. I may call Apple about that. If that worked, it'd be even sweeter! I have to say, Apple is more expensive, but they get it right. This is how stuff should work - like 10 years ago even before Microsoft mucked things up and put computing behind 5-10 years. It's rare to see someone using Vista. Most of what I've heard is that people are upgrading back to Windows XP - which they just released Service Pack 3 for. And now, after it has majorly failed, Microsoft is coming up with ad campaigns to try to sell it. What? Don't waste your money, Microsoft. Use that money to make a better operating system and then release that. I don't know why Macs and Apple seemed to used to have a more liberally minded client base. Maybe that's one thing that were right on. I like that Rush uses Macs. He gets it, too. Ya gotta use what's the best. For me, I work faster than my computer can so I guess I'd be called a power user or something. It'll be nice to get rid of keyboards someday. I bet Apple's working on that.
Apple's supposed to have some sort of big announcement tomorrow. We'll see what that is. I think I'm in the market for a new laptop, so hopefully that's included and not just another iPod thing. We already have the iPhone and iTouch, so leave that alone and get us some new laptop hardware - that's what I say. :-) -Tone
