Ok, not real time machines but Tyme Machines. It's what we here in Wisconsin sometimes call an ATM.
Here's a good quote from CityDictionary.com:
To out of state folks "TYME machine" sounds like a "time machine". If you leave the state and ask for a TYME machine you will likely be given a blank stare. To us it is the generic term for a cash machine, to everyone else it is a futuristic machine that doesn't exist.

Well, I went to go hang up a few signs on campus for MadisonSublets.com yesterday. What I've done for years was go on like a Sunday afternoon and pop in and out of classrooms that I used to visit as an undergrad that I know were busy. Well not this year. All the buildings were locked and there was the same sign on all of them saying that they close on Saturdays and Sundays. They're also closed from 6pm to 7am. Wow, have things changed. Maybe they had some problems. In retrospect, it's kind of hard to believe that all those rooms were open so much with no security in place. Anyone could have easily walked in and taken whatever they wanted. Anyway, I won't be able to do that anymore. Too bad. I really enjoyed taking that little tour through campus every spring. -T

I'm not a huge TV show watching person but I do have a few shows that the DVR is set for, so I thought I'd blog about them. Here's the list (in no particular order):
- Celebrity Apprentice - I've always been a fan of "The Donald's" show. I guess the celebrity element is alright. I kind of wonder what celebrities whose 15 minutes has past actually do. Somehow they manage, I guess, or they do shows like this.
- 24 - Duh. The best show ever.
- American Idol - Ok, I'm a closet 'Idol' fan. I'm into playing music, so the show is interesting to me. I'm not glued in front of the TV when it's on, but it's really more of less on in the background.
- The Office - Arguably the 2nd best show ever.
- 30 Rock - I'm a bit of an Alec Baldwin fan and this show is really well written.
- Howie Do It - The DVR records this show but there are a lot of them that I haven't watched yet, so I must not be a huge fan.
- Sarah Conner Chronicles - Oh yeah, good show when there's action. A chick Terminator is kinda cool.
- Attack of the Show - This is on G4. If I miss one, I don't cry about it. It's usually on when I'm eating dinner though. It's geeky-cool.
- Family Guy - I'm a fan but Seth is just getting too anti-Christian and is crossing the line more often, so I'm losing interest. You can be funny without "going there" so they're getting lazy, I think.
- Wheeler Dealers - This on HD Theater. They buy cars and then show you how to fix them up. That's cool. It's from the UK, so some of the phrases they use are funny.
- Auto Trader - This is on HD Theater and by the same guys doing Wheeler Dealers. They teach you tricks on buying used cars and also do small fixes on used cars. I think I was a car mechanic in a former life. :-)
- News Radio - I love this show. I'm sad that Phil Hartman died and they ended it. They had a great formula and the comedy was perfect.
I think that's about it. In general, I'd rather be doing other things than watching TV but it's nice to sit down and relax sometimes.

I ended up watching Finding Forrester last night since it was on Cinemax. I missed the first part but since I've seen it before, it was no big deal. I haven't seen it for a while but what a great movie. The part that got me this time (and also in the past, I believe) was when Jamal took Forrester to Madison Square Gardens and he got overwhelmed by the crowd and ended up sort of shutting down in a corner.
The movie almost seems to end when Forrester goes riding off on his bike after the meeting at the school and what comes after that almost seems like deleted scenes that were adding back in. It's good they did that. I'm just saying that's what it feels like.
So if you haven't seen Finding Forrester in a while, check it out. It's probably back in my top 10 or 15.
